Shahrnush Parsipur, a native of Iran, is guest speaker at Peninsula College's Winter Foothills Writers Series Jan. 21 and 22. Her first lecture is noon Jan. 20 in the Little Theater on the Port Angeles campus. Peninsula College's 2009 Tidepools art and literary magazine contest has extended its deadline to Jan. 20. The student organized or class project magazine has been published annually for more than 40 years by the Peninsula College Associated Student Council.
