December 12, an unforgettable day that two of Peninsula College's international students, Duo Li, from Guang Xi China, and Chi Kan Cheung "Raymond", from Hong Kong, lost their lives in a car wreck. Despite the fact that Duo and Raymond passed away, they will live on in the hearts of their friends forever.

Johnny Lake hosts a seminar about tolerance to a group of students on Friday January 15th as a part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance before the holiday weekend. A part of his presentation included a scenario where he simulated himself as a classroom teacher who sat in as the students were exposed to the ease of which discrimination can be commited in the
classroom.

The biggest roadblock standing in the way of students going back to school is that they cannot afford it. Financial aid is available but do students know how to get it and where to go? Peninsula College is hosting College Goal Sunday, where two $500 scholarships will be available to students who attend.
