Five Port Angeles Firefighters landed in Haiti on the morning of January 25 to provide medical assistance to the recent earthquake victims. The 7.0M earthquake rocked Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, just 13 days prior to their arrival, so the destruction was still very obvious.

Peninsula College had success when the attendance doubled from the previous year at College Goal Sunday on Sunday, January 31. "At least 70 people attended the event, 37 of which received one-on-one help with their FAFSA. This is double the amount of people from last year!", said Krista Francis, Director of Enrollment Services and Financial Aid.

For the last couple of months, the Peninsula College clock tower has been out of commission with no attempted repairs. Why hasn't anything been done yet?
