Talented Peninsula College students Chandra Johnson, Leif Mathison, Dion Serras, Christian Harris, Dan Torok, Jackal Leung, Daniel Hui, Dean Hennen, Abby Irwin and Hannah Hockett are eligible to compete in the final talent show of 2007-08, slated for June 4. Each of these students placed first, second or third in one of PC's talent shows this year.
In the spring quarter talent show on May 7, students demonstrated their talents in guitar, piano and violin playing, singing and stand-up comedy onstage in the Pirate Union Building.
Spring quarter first-place winner Dean Hennen performed the classical piano piece "Arabusque I" by Debussy. Second place winner Abby Irwin also played piano, performing "Minuet Melody", and third-place winner Hannah Hockett played piano while singing her song called "The Answer."
The other students performing in the spring talent show were Dan Torok, Raisa Mathisen, Stephen Farr, Chandra Johnson, Elijah Sussman, Winston Pedy, Amanda Bennett and Jackal Leung as a vocal/piano duo, and Arial Calabria. Torok, Leung and Johnson, who each placed in one of the previous two PC talent shows this year, were not considered during the judging for the spring show because they are already finalists.
PC's final talent show of the year is June 4 in the Pirate Union Building.
