The Hood Canal Bridge is currently closed until mid-June. Need to get to the Kitsap Peninsula in the next six weeks? Port Angeles is not as isolated as it may seem.
Clallam transit bus the Hood Canal Shuttle has a direct route from Port Angeles to the bridge and the water shuttle.
The free fare express transit has three morning trips starting at 5 a.m. and three afternoon trips every hour starting at 3:10 p.m. between Port Angles, Sequim and South Point to meet rider's needs. Once passengers arrive at South Point, a water shuttle is available to get you to the Kitsap peninsula.
Passengers need to plan extra time to make all the connections but transportation is readily accessible. Please note that vehicles are not allowed at the water shuttle,
and violators could receive a fine from the Washington State Patrol of $124.
Passengers must ride the transit from South Point to gain access to the water shuttle.
Public transportation is available on the Kitsap Peninsula with connections to Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bainbridge and Kingston ferry services. The last return trip back to Port Angeles leaves Lofall at 6 p.m. with an arrival time of 8 p.m.
