The lady Pirates ended their season against Skagit Valley bringing their record to five wins and 28 loses.
"Our defense let us down this year, and it was very tough on our pitching staff," coach Cheney said. Injuries early in the season also impacted play.
"We just never recovered," Cheney said.
Marquita Espinoza broke the home run record for Peninsula College by sending 10 over the outfield fence. Bethany "AK" Holt was ranked the best bunter in the league.
Most of the team is returning next year with good recruits joining them, said Cheney.
