Volunteers from Peninsula College, Olympic Medical Center and an assortment of others came to paint part of downtown Port Angeles on May 30. PC volunteers allied with OMC to tackle painting the city block where the Indian Oven restaurant sits by the city Pier. PCs' employees including President Tom Keegan participated in the work party on Saturday which lasted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Port Angeles Food Bank provided refreshments for the event. The group was one of many who were volunteering on the first day to paint the downtown businesses. They were painting to spruce store fronts up and hopefully attract more tourists.
