The Pirates won the first game of the playoffs, but lost later in the quarterfinals. The soccer team defeated Edmonds 3-2 in overtime sending them to the second round of playoffs.

In the quarterfinals the Pirates fought hard controlling the ball, but lost to some questionable goals. "We ended up losing 3-2. We had some great chances and controlled at least 60 minutes of the game out shooting Chemeketa 13-10. Chemeketa got some very questionable goals, but that is the way it works," Andrew Chapman, head coach said.

The pirates won against Edmonds at home in overtime, securing the tie for first in the division. The Pirates were up by two when out of nowhere, the Edmonds Tritons score two goals in the last eight minutes of the game. The game was now tied, and they were going into two 10-minute periods. The Pirates were out of their comfort zone and they now had to enter the danger zone. The fans were on the edge of their seats for a good two minutes.

John Troka went for a shot; luckily Brent Ricigliano was there to kick the rebound into the goal. The PC crowd jumped out of their seats and went wild. Jase Hall ran and slid right through a mud puddle, and many others followed. It was off to the quarterfinals for the Pirates. "The guys all worked hard and it was a great year. Finishing as division champions is wonderful," Chapman said.
