It was a close call when our mens' basketball team went into overtime against Everett. Luckily our pirates picked it up towards the end, winning with the score of 99-93.

During the preseason the players had a good taste of dissatisfaction going 3-6.

The Pirates had the chance to focus on things they needed to work on and prepare for when they entered their conference.

"Our strengths continue to be defense, rebounding, and a very unselfish offense. When you have the entire team on the same page and focusing on the work at hand, it is really fun. As far as weaknesses go, we try to capitalize and improve on so many things to constantly get better. We really don't think of them as weaknesses, but opportunities" said head coach, Peter Stewart.

Looking forward to upcoming games, the next home game will be against Bellevue on February 3rd.
